Answer the following moral questions in the comment section... 1. A friendly dog is unhappy because he is tied up in the hot sun. If you untie the dog, it may get lost or caught by the dog catcher. No one is around. Do you set the dog free? 2. You are mayor. Most people in your city don't want to wear seat belts. However, there are a large number of injuries that can be prevented by seat belts. Do you make seat belts the law? 3.You pick up a ten dollar bill from under a kid's chair at school. Do you ask if he/she has lost money? Be sure in your response that your name appears somewhere!

1. If i was in that situation, I would not let the dog free. I would choose this decision because I was to let the dog free, it could get into more trouble or harm than it is in the sun. A little sun will never hurt a dog.
ReplyDelete2. If I were mayor and there were many injuries due to people not wearing there seat belts, I would make wearing a seat belt the law. I would do this because as the mayor, it is my job to keep the city safe in anyway possible and enforcing a seat belt law in this situation is a perfect example of keeping the city safe as best I can.
3. If i was in this situation, I would ask if he/she had lost money. I would do this because it wouldn't hurt me if I didn't have that ten dollars but it would hurt the other person to lose ten dollars. Had the ten dollars not belonged to him/her, i would keep the ten dollars for myself.
1) I would give the dog food and water, then report its unhealthy condition to the police. It is illegal in most states to risk a dog's health like that. 2) I would make a seatbelt law because as mayor it is my job to put safety first. 3) I would try to return the money instead of stealing it for myself. -Lauren Bartels
ReplyDelete1. In a situation like that the best thing to do is report to the authorities. If I result to taking the dog I will only get myself into possible legal trouble. If I report the wrongdoings of the dog owner, it would present a better case as well as provide the dog with a possible better home. Plus I'm scared of dogs so calling the authored would be my option. 2. Without a doubt I would make wearing a seatbelt the law. Although just because I in force it doesn't mean people will follow. At the end of the day they are in control of their own life. As the mayor the best I can do is inform them and provide the best advice I can give, the rest is up to them. if I did not inform them, then I would not be doing my job as a mayor. 3. I would ask the student if he dropped money not informing him the amount. If he told me that he dropped 10 dollars, obviously the money is his, and I would give it to him. Keeping the money is wrong, taking anything that doesn't belong to you is wrong. There is no if, and, or buys about it. -Seun Shittu
ReplyDelete1. If I was the person in the situation i would not set the dog free. Instead i would give the dog what it needed like food and water, then notify the authorities of a dog in unhealthy conditions. Reporting this to the authorities would mean that the dog could end up im better care and with a better family that will love the dog. 2. As a mayor of a town that has a great number of injuries that could be prevented by seat belt wearing I would make a seat belt law. The only thing that I would have to take in is what is considered an injury and what is not. If a person were to just only get a little scratch but that wee to count as an injury I would rethink tht law. 3. I would ask the student if he or she had lost some money earlier in the day. I would not though tell them the amount to make sure that it is really theirs. If the student says ten dollars I will give them the money. If the studemt were to say the wrong amount of money I would also know that they did not lose the money andi would bring the money to the office in hopes they find the person that lost it. Under no circumstance though should I take the money that does not belong to me.-Benjamin Roy
